The Department of Medicine (DOM) Staff Mentorship Program is a year-long opportunity for staff to build skills, expand their network, and gain perspective on career growth through structured, 1:1 mentorship.

Program Support

In addition to regular mentor/mentee meetings, the program offers intentional support every step of the way.

Mentor Development

  • Monthly sessions on trust, feedback, coaching vs. advising, sponsorship, and other mentoring skills

Mentee Support

  • Milestone sessions focused on relationship-building, reflection, and program closure 

 
2026 Cohort: About the Pilot

  • 40 mentee applications received
  • 12 mentor–mentee pairs selected
  • Broad representation across DOM divisions and sites 

 
What’s Next

2026 marks the pilot year of the program. Insights from this cohort will inform refinement and scale. An expanded second cohort is planned for late 2026, alongside evaluation of participant outcomes and program impact.
